We ate lunch in the pub, there were a lot of fly's, service was really slow, there was almost no one in there besides our group of 14 and it was obvious they didn't have the staffing needed. Our waitress did great with the resources she had and was very friendly. The food was pretty good too. The hotel seemed like a nice place with a lot of options for dining and activities and relatives staying had good things to say about the hotel.
I've stayed multiple times at this hotel, the main reason being it is attached to the Alerus Center. The staff is usually friendly and the water park is great. The rooms are decent, and there is a tavern, buffet, bar and bistro. The biggest issue is the price. You will normally pay $200 after taxes for the majority of the rooms. The amenities and the fact that you don't have to drive anywhere after an event normally justify the price for me.
The only reason we've brought our kids to the place is water park. They have closed it without updating people booking rooms in the hotel. They told us that informed people by phone and email - I was an alien probably. The play room didn't work as well. Some technical problems with tickets.It's literally nothing to do here without water park. And be prepared they can close the water park without informing you
Super awesome waterpark for the kids! They can spend hours in here with all the slides and play structure and tubing river. The arcade here is top notch too - all the newest games. There's also four different restaurants inside to choose from so you never have to eat the same thing twice. I gave it four stars though because we came here during the low season and there was minimal staff so service was very slow, plus the mattress wasn't great to sleep on. But still an excellent hotel complex.
Had a great stay. The summer fun pack was a great deal as well. The kids rooms were pretty cool. Ours was decorated in a dinosaur theme. Even had a PS4 for the kids room but we were too tired from the water park to bother with it.We're definitely coming back this winter.
